So, I was bored and I’ve watched YouTube videos of Matthew Santoro and came across this video about people who were hackers. One crazy idea came into my mind and I actually looked it up on YouTube on how to hack. I didn’t have any specific hacking in mind so I clicked on the first video that was there. It was an introduction to hacking and the person who made the video told us his viewers that we can visit that site to have fun. (click here to view site)

So, considering that the site works the same, the answers to all of those are still the same so for the first few levels I got the answer by using the answers that he gave out to us when he solved the problem. So basically, I was cheating, Since I know nothing about CCS, HTML, PHP, Javascripts and whatnot I have to rely on those basic stuff that was handed to me and it was up to me on how to move on to the next level.

I managed to get past level 1 to 10 using his (the YouTube video uploader) sometimes using my own resources. (you know using the view page source thing) to actually get to next level. So doing what I did to pass those levels, (by cheating and google) it was actually fun and frustrating that I even finished the whole 20 Levels in one afternoon. For others, it probably took them just a short time, seeing that they all have the necessary equipment to perform the hacking of that website.

It was really fun, if I do have all the necessary software needed when doing such tasks, even if I have a hatred for numbers, formulas and equations, had fun doing such thing. at the end of the hackertest, I was kind of left… how should I say this…?

Confused? Because I have to decode the hexadecimal thing and I don’t have any software to do that, I just left it as it is. But if I had any knowledge about computer programming maybe I could do some deep hacking stuff. I know hacking is not really a good thing, but if you have good reasons for doing such thing then I guess hacking is somewhat a part of internet security. If you have an online store than you probably have to have some safety measures to do so that you won’t be able to be attacked by any of those cyber crimes.

In my opinion, learning how to hack in some way is fun and good, as long as you abide by the law and won’t do any crime it’s fine I guess. Besides, if you know how to hack then you could probably keep track of those people that you cherish, for example, your family, if they didn’t respond when you call or text you can track them. Mmm, GPS are known in the tracking field but who knows, your hacking skill can be useful at critical times too.

I don’t mind learning how to hack, even if I suck with numbers and mathematical equations and formulas, as long as you’re having fun, it’s all that matters, right? Besides, they should create more sites like these (hacking simulators) for those who like to be challenged (mentally) all the time, it’s a fun way to pass time and helps you sharpen your thinking skills. It’d be interesting to be able to finish every level knowing it was you who worked hard solving this kind of problem. 🙂
