As this is my not so first try to make a book review, I ask for you people who is reading my blog to spare my life… I’m still an amateur..

Anyway, cutting to the chase! GREY!!! Who doesn’t love Christian Grey? (uhm, some really hardcore BDSM people? *Slaps the other voice out* Pardon for that, she doesn’t have a filter) I definitely do love him! I want to be the Anastasia Steele of his life. The person who will turn a man’s world upside down! I’ve read the book when I was 16 years old (The whole Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy) and I have to admit that reading this intriguing book was a very different experience.

If you’ve loved Christian and Ana’s story from Ana’s point of view, I don’t have any other words to describe their story in Christian Grey’s eyes. All the secrecy in Grey’s part will be uncovered if you read this book. I do hope there’s another book coming out after this book because seriously, IT’S A FREAKING CLIFFHANGER!! If I am going to be honest, I wouldn’t buy EL James’ Grey if it is not yet finished, but due to unknown compulsion, I bought the book, I read it, and here I am, crying in misery because I could not wait for the next book to arrive if there’s going to be one.

I DO HOPE SO!

Anyhow, umm… before you continue reading this blog post, Please be reminded that I could and would share some parts of the book… You know… Spoilers… So read at your own risk.

I like how the book was written, You’ll be lost in how the story progresses and I have to admit, Using the dates as the book chapter, I know it’s not something new, James is probably not the one who did this, but for me it is new. I’ve seen mostly the Chapter numbers, sometimes the characters name with the Chapter number to indicate that on this Chapter its the hero’s POV on the next chapter it is the heroine, sometimes the enemy. So using the dates is refreshing.

The book is not really full of just sex scene, albeit those scenes are graphic (It’s why it is called erotic romance right, Rain?) The book also has this comedic side as well, well for me I found something funny in the book that really made me laugh out loud and that is the email banter I am talking about! Especially the one when Christian was in Portland and on a video conference and he was emailing Ana and one of them noticed he wasn’t really paying attention! Gosh, I was giggling hard at that part. In all honesty, I enjoyed Christian Grey’s POV than Anastasia Steele. All of Christian’s new found emotions, all of his confusions, his stalker tendencies, his stalkerish manners when Ana left him. All of those raw emotions that is confusing him, I felt it. He was hurting because Ana left him, yet he didn’t know.

He was being jealous, overly jealous, yet he didn’t know. He was falling in love and yet he didn’t know. I felt every single thing he felt while I was reading the book. He can admit that he misses Ana but he felt that he doesn’t deserve having someone to love him. He thinks he doesn’t deserve to be loved, from his words He is a monster. Like Beauty and the Beast, Belle fell in love with the beast despite his appearance, despite his foul attitude. Same goes to this story, Ana loved Christian despite his being a BDSM type of guy, despite him being extremely over-the-top wealthy, despite him having a horrible past, despite all of his baggage to put it simply, she still fell in love with him.

I can feel my chest constricts every time he thought of Ana, whenever he was having a hard time from his empire, whenever he is stressed out from the issue of Leila, when he was finished putting the pieces together of the glider plane, when he!!! OMG this is totally spoiler alert. I’m very sorry to those people who haven’t read the book yet and is reading my emotional book review..

When he jogs to Ana’s place!!! My goodness! If I was crying at the end of Fifty Shades of Grey because of what was Ana’s feeling and how hurt she was, reading Grey and what is happening to Christian when Ana left him really broke my heart! EL James!!! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PUT SO MANY FEELS IN THIS BOOK??

All I can say is that this book is worth every penny I spent just to buy it.

Hmm, sometimes, compulsive buying has its own benefits. Well done James, big round of applause for doing a fantastic job writing this book. I hope another book comes out continuing what happened in Christian’s perspective. Thank you very much.
