I know I’m not posting much for the past weeks/days/months, I was just so busy. But anyway, I am introducing the new Section of my blog and that is this. A Travel blog about the places I’ve been to. Pretty self-explanatory but If you want to travel to the Philippines and/or you want to go to places that you haven’t gone to yet and thinking of a nice place to relax for this Summer, then you’ve landed on the right page.
I have been literally dragged to my first ever trip of the year with my mother’s team building last April 10, 2016. Basically, I am a plus one guest of my mother and boy did I had fun. The travel time from our meeting spot in Cainta, Rizal to the Wishing Falls Resort in Infanta, Quezon was roughly around two hours. It was quite the ride I tell you. With all those zooming motorcyclists, zigzags, and magnificent view of the mountains, I was enjoying the ride going there. Couldn’t keep my grin off of my face.
As we arrived at the place, You will only see the signage of the place and from that signage you have to go on foot to get to your destined cottage. If you’re looking for the big waterfalls, then I am so sorry to say that you will be very disappointed. The waterfalls is not that big when in terms of height. In all actuality, the falls is hidden and only a small stream goes and gets collected in a pool. So the resort is technically, a swimming pool that uses water coming from the waterfalls, and let me tell you how cold that water is.
Especially when you got in that pool of water at nine or ten in the morning.
The place also offers changing rooms/shower stall (water comes from the waterfalls)/toilet, you can cook there too using either coals or portable gas burners. The cool water of the place is really what you’ll need in this heat that our country has been enveloped in. (I’m spouting cheesy nonsense, I apologize)
After our trip there we went back and headed to Pililia, Rizal. The second place to establish the gargantuan windmills that before can be only seen in Bangui, Ilocos Norte. We arrived there just as the sun is setting and the view was breath taking. There is also a hill where you can see the other windmills that is scattered around the place. Beware though, if you want to venture up that hill you must know that the viewing deck doesn’t have any railings. So you might want to stay away from the place if it’s a bit crowded.
All in all, the trip was awesome. Even though with my mom’s colleague’s constant teasing with one of their co-workers with me, I enjoyed with everything that we have done.
Ten out of ten.
